Its just amplified with us because we were in search of a franchise qb forever, and he was a high pick that we gave up a kings ransom for. If Brady hadnt worked out for the Pats because he couldnt "get it" nobody would have cared. Same can be said for countless others. Even Heath Shuler wasnt as big of a story because we werent so far removed from success.
The Skins drafting RG-3 was the epitome of the "all in for the savior of a down and out franchise".

That and it's never been easier to be an NFL QB and no one, even high draft picks, get years and years to prove themselves. His last 16 starts haven't been very good and it seems he's getting worse.
