Redskins Place Niles Paul on IR and Sign DL Jordan Hill . . .

Source (CSNMidAtlantic):

Quote:
The Redskins announced that they have signed former Seahawks defensive tackle Jordan Hill to their roster.

Hill, 6-1, 303, was a third-round pick of the Seahawks in 2013 when current Redskins GM Scot McCloughan was in the Seattle front office. In three seasons in Seattle he played in 27 games with one start. His best season came in 2014 when he had 5.5 sacks, recovered three fumbles, and intercepted a pass.

Hill was released by the Seahawks during their final roster cuts in September.

The Redskins also officially announced that TE Niles Paul has been put on the injured reserve list and that they have signed defensive back Lee Hightower to the practice squad.

Washington now has seven defensive linemen on the roster and only two tight ends.
Source (Wikipedia): roster filler, but did have a pretty good stretch in 2014 (have 5.5 sacks in last 6 games after Brandon Mebane was injured . . . he waved injured himself this year . . . he has pretty good measurables and runs a 4.7 40 which is very fast for a DT, and shows he has burst . . . worth a shot.
