Im born and raised in an area right in the middle of Eagles and Giants territory, and it’s a long story on why I chose to follow the Skins, but I’ve always had to deal with being surrounded by Eagles and Giants fans and everything that brings. I’ve watched them have success under Reid and Peterson some from nonstop winning seasons, to countless NFC East titles, to NFC crowns, two Super Bowl appearances and a title. I’ve watched the same with the Giants winning TWO titles, and various playoff runs.
It’s been extremely hard, but I never gave up. I always showed up, and supported my team until I was Blue in the face. I’ve spent countless dollars and hours on a franchise I love so much. I’ve been the brunt of jokes and teasing at the Redskins expense.
I’ve reached the point of being enraged, and close to giving up. Apathy will set in soon, and I’m starting to show those signs. Meanwhile, most of my friends are hosting Eagles playoff game parties, again, another season. While our team is sitting at home, again, another season.
This organization has been a last place, losing, pathetic, bottom feeding, embarrassment for 20+ years now. I wish I was around when Gibbs and George Allen coached.
And you people wonder why I post the way I do......

On behalf of all Redskins fans over 30 years of age, I like to say that we are sorry that you all never got to see the Glory Years of Joe Gibbs 1.0 and the 3 Super Bowl Wins.
My only consolation is that there is some glimmer of hope for you all since this isn't the first time in the Redskins history that the franchise has gone through a long period of time losing.
My father who is 82 years old lived through the last time the Redskins were really bad in the '60's, then he has been able to live long enough to see the Gibbs Era.
I am in my mid-40's and unless Dan Snyder is forced to sell the team or forced to give up control of the team, I don't know if I personally will live long enough to see the Redskins be successful again.
My sincere hope for you younger fans is that either Dan Snyder is forced out, or you live long enough to out live the Dan Snyder ownership.
