Reporter Craig Hoffman also confirms that Williams requested a trade in June. Per Hoffman, the Redskins are "confused" by Williams' demands. It seems what Williams wants most of all is to get out of Washington. There has been zero indication the Redskins are considering accommodating him

If Trent doesn't want to play there is no way the redskins can make him. It's really a shame that it's come to this, especially because it sounds like there was confusion between Williams and the redskins. I didn't think he was going to miss any games but at this point it seems inevitable that he does. In that case if the redskins can get a trade they ought to do it.
