I know everyone is upset about today’s loss to the Chargers, but everyone needs to chill. Smoke a cigarette, take a toke, or do whatever you do to chill out.

Did anyone actually expect to beat the Chargers? I sure as hell didn’t. The game was a lot closer than I would have expected. I was expecting a rout. The Chargers are a great team with a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.

Moreover, we’re playing the Rams and Cardinals in over the next two weeks. I fully expect to be 7-6 going into the final stretch. I think a 10-6 record is nearly impossible. I think a 9-7 record is possible. I think an 8-8 record is very probable. I highly doubt we will fare worse than 8-8.

At 8-8 we will have gone from a terrible team to an average team. With a few holes left to plug on offense (TE and WR) and defense (DE and nickelback), I think we should have a complete team with no excuses (save catastrophic injuries).

I didn’t expect to go 11-5 this season. I know a lot of people did expect to go deep into the playoffs. I really believe those expectations were unrealistic and now those individuals are being brought back to earth. We are an average team that is capable of beating any team in the league. With a few fixes, we’ll be a pretty darn good team.
