first, "fast as hell" from your last post - he's one of the slowest DEs in day one, a rocking 4.8 @ 250 pounds... mario williams has 50lbs and 1/10 on him. LBs bigger than him (260lbs) have 2/10ths on him.
I watched the ssenior bowl and practices, he didn't abuse anyone and whitehurst was able to gain ground on him while he tried to chase whitey down from behind. he had ALL game cause MK was injured and did nothing, even though he got twice the time. I don't remember a single announcement about him abusing Db'F, though Db did have a single slip up in the game, tapp wasn't the guy at the other end.
he ended the game with 2 assisted tackles and no other stats with double minutes. that's hardly impressive.

Tapp abused D'Brickashaw in the Uva/Tech game this year, but it was a 52-17 blowout by VT, so Tapp got to tee off since uva was in passing situations for much of the game. He definitely beat him off the ball, bull rushed and speed rushed him numerous times.
Tapp isn't "fast as hell" but we must distinguish between straight away speed & quickness. Tapp is awfully quick, gets off the ball really well & has good moves. He's not quite of the talent level that gets taken in the first round, but he's a good "character" guy & we'd be lucky to get him at #53. I don't see him lasting that long. If he's around & he's higher on our board than any LBs or CBs I say take him. Not just because I'm a Hokie, Daniels & Wynn are old, and Evans is solid but doesn't have the explosiveness.
Tapp's downside is his size, no pun intended. He may be weak against the run in the nfl.
