Re: NFL Network: Bears' Briggs, 31st Pick for Skins' 6th Pick?
I found a really good blog post from pro football reference that pertains directly to this trade. In fact, in a second post, they apply their study directly to our Briggs situation. I'll just say that the results favor us making the trade, and give a lot of substancial evidence to back up the Gibbs' quote that says the late first round and second harbor all the value in this year's draft.
Here's the study: Pro-football-reference.com blog » What’s a draft pick worth? Here's the study applied to us: Pro-football-reference.com blog » An illustrative example: Lance Briggs and #31 for #6
