The reason your rates are much higher are for two main reasons.
1. Your driving expeirence is only a 1/2 year. 2. No prior insurance. With the few months you have had a lic. the ins companies do not have much of a window to see how your driving record will be and to get a perfered rate most want 2 to 3 years driving experience. With prior or current insurance they can look at your prior claim history which you do not have. You will have to bite the bullet for maybe 6 months to maybe a couple of years depending on your state. I would suggest that after you have had insurance for the first 6 months shop your rates again and see if you can get a price break for having the prior ins. Your rates may drop when you turn 25 depending on the ins co and your state ins regulations. |
