If we don't get Cutler, should we extend Campbell?

In the event that we aren't able to acquire Cutler from the Broncos for an obscene package of picks and players, should we extend Campbell's contract as a show of commitment? We've already shown a lack of confidence in him by not extending him prior to now. Depending on who you believe, we've shopped him for a 2nd round pick and/or have offered him in a trade for Cutler. Without an extension, we'd be setting him up to be the biggest lame duck in NFL history and expecting him to lead our offense into 2009. I'm not advocating either way, but it's worth discussing.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman
