Off Season Griffin Man Crush thread

Yeah, I know, we all know how good Griffin is, but he's injured and never going to last in the league, blah blah blah. This thread is not about durability, as that is speculative and no one knows what the future will bring with him.

This thread is about the fact that our team, the Redskins, has an elite - not "eli" elite, or flacco/romo "elite" but a full fledged Rodgers/Manning/Brady elite - qb.

Why bring this up now? First it's the off-season, and FA has come to a sputtering slow down, trawling for the deep sea tuna that is hidden away so to say. Second, we have gone into soooo many off-seasons wondering who (or what) was going to solve our qb spot, that at least for this off-season between Griffin and Capt Kirk, Skins fans aren't dreading the man behind center. Hoorah.

But mainly this thread was brought up by a PFF article that looks at adjusted completion stats. And in it, is a defense against the people who say Griffin's stats are based on short throws (Rodgers threw 85 aimed passes behind the LOS, Brady 77, Griffin 73, and Luck 67), as well as a truly amazing (and hence Man Crush status re-certified) stat:
Quote:
10-to-19 yards

Rk-Quarterback--------Aim--Actual--Expected....+/-

1--Robert Griffin III----95---77%-------62%----14.9%
2--Matt Schaub--------119--71%-------62%----9.1%
3--Peyton Manning----147--71%-------62%----8.9%
4--Drew Brees---------149--70%-------62%----8.5%
5--Ben Roethlisberger-113--70%-------62%----8.2%
6--Matt Ryan-----------164--70%-------62%----8.1%
7--Russell Wilson-------102-70%-------62%----7.6%
8--Alex D. Smith--------42--69%-------62%----6.7%
9--Aaron Rodgers------125--69%-------62%----6.4%
10-Brandon Weeden---92---67%-------62%----5.5%

Robert Griffin III was electric in the 10-to-19 range, completing 62-of-95 passes. His aC% was easily a league-best, and well above the 62 percent NFL average.
Other numbers stand out as well but the 10-19 yd range was crazy good.

Forget the CB/S issues, forget the salary cap junk, even forget Griffin's injury status.

Griffin is electric and electrifying, and every time he stepped on the field last year, you felt like he was going to lead the team, and city, and fans to victory.

Go Skins!!!
