The problem with the injury angle by most people is it isnt applied universally. Look at the reviews by Jaws. His number one complaint of RG3 was that the read option gets QB's killed and he wont last. When it came to Kaepernick and Wilson, the read option and their running ability was one of the reasons they should be elevated.
There is no guarantee of anything, including two ACL tears means its going to happen once a year for the rest of his career. Especially given that his injuries were more about him trying to do too much and could have been avoided. He will be smarter this year about hits in my opinion. If not, then it will be a constant concern for the rest of his career. Lots of athletes have had multiple injuries before only to go onto have successful careers. Plenty have had a single injury that they couldnt come back from.
Lets apply the injury angle across the board. Having back surgery can be difficult to come back from, especially for linemen. So is safe to say that JPP's career is over or that he will never be the same as he was early in his career? Or is that overstating things?
