But that's not the strongest argument against your idiotic perspective. To wit:
To tank is to be intentionally uncompetitive. Such is against Shanahan's nature. Shanahan is inherently competitive.
Moreover, to tank is to take the coward's way out. And Shanahan is no coward.
Also, your point of view essentially accuses Shanahan of being incompetent, since he is paid to win each and every game. Plus it means that he is an incompetent tanker, since we ended up with the #6 pick, not higher.
So cite your sources which say otherwise.

1. It's a theory. There have been other fans, media, and other various outlets with this theory. No one has proof, and no one will get that proof, because shanahan is no idiot that would say now, or ever in his NFL coaching tenure that he was trying to tank a season.
2. Have you seen the movie/play the producers? Think of Shanahan as the director and beck and grossman as Max and Leo. It backfired on shanahan and became a lot more successful than he thought. Just like the play the producers.
