What's wrong with Raheem Morris for DC?

Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
All things considered (and I took multiple weeks to come out in favor of a single candidate), I think I like Kevin Sumlin the best of all candidates. Bill O'Brien would be my second choice.
Also think Art Briles is a great coach and a decent fit. He'd be third on my wish list. Perry Fewell, who has done a fantastic job getting the Giants defense on track this year, would be my fourth choice. Ray Horton (Cleveland DC) would be five. My top pick for offensive coordinator, pending his availability, would be Joe Philbin. Top pick for DC, also pending his availability, would be Wade Phillips. Or either of the HC candidates above, should they come available. I don't care for much of this coaching staff, but I'd like to see Raheem Morris and Chris Forester return. I'd also offer Bobby Turner the opportunity to coach RBs under the new staff, though he's been very much tied at Shanahan's hip for a long time.

Was everybody here excited about our last college hire spurrier? Were people on board? Considered probably top 3 coach in college , more known as an offensive genius. I wasn't that excited and thought it might end as a disaster. It did. Im not sure about a college coach.

But I think that all of the really, really promising coaches are in the college ranks right now. I think a lot of them will find their way into the NFL soon enough. And some will fail. But many will succeed.

Darrell Green questions the state of the Redskins - The Washington Post
" I just feel so bad that you would have a system where it's all predicated on this guy running. He's the second rusher on the team. It doesn't work, in my opinion." Thank you DGreen. While he thinks we should stay the course, he thinks Robert is being misused and ought to be a pocket passer. I don't see how he can want to stay the course and overlook the people who put the system in place? |

Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?

Edit: i think the other "promising" HC prospects are some of the OC's and DC's already in the NFL. |

Re: Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?
Per Darrell Green's comment and the whole running QB issue, it baffles me how anyone who actually watches pro football can be "ok" with the offense. This offense only works if RG is in effect a rotating RB. Defenses dominate us otherwise. They dominate our oline, dominate our receivers and even slow the run game significantly. The whole offensive scheme is based on a running QB, which is flat out asinine when you mortgaged years of the franchise success on that player.
When we at least won some games last year and you could fool yourself into believing this was a serious team I could give people the benefit of the doubt, but now that Mike's back to losing like he has for nearly a decade it blows me away to hear anyone supporting this. We have a garbage defensive scheme/structure, garbage special teams, and a totally unsustainable offense.

4 QB's to start the season and we play the hurt one and change nothing. 4 TE's, one of which tagged, and when we don't like him after the fact, we bench him and withhold $.5 million bonus. That's so Redskins to spend millions to save pennies. Just like investing $35million in Mike who in turn hires his son to run the offense. This is the biggest concentual bank heist in sports history. |

Griffin isn't throwing the ball?
He averaged 26 pass attempts a game last year, this year it's 37. He's also on pace to throw for 4300 yards vs 3200 last year. |

I think every hire is a risky hire, given that Dan Snyder has shown little aptitude to tell the difference between a good interview and a bad interview. Sumlin coaches the offense I would most like to see RG3 in.

What I find troubling is people who defend Kyle with your type interjections. We have a run game in Alfred= we don't need Robert to run. Robert running= less of Roberto's career. When Robert is hurt= the season comes to an end prematurely or he is played regardless if we have a capable backup. Kyle runs an ineffective passing game. Every pass is a play action, idk what % but WR's line up in the backfield behind or next to rob, last Vikings game had 7+ screen passes behind the line of scrimmage. -1 yd pass attempts are not the same thing as passing downfield. But the Kyle defense will say it is b/c technically it leaves the QB's hand in a forward direction. I don't need split hairs argued to me. Roberts #'s are up. Figuring we are in countless garbage minute games, how much of that is garbage stats?. Maybe the fact that teams would rather give up dink and dunk passes b/c they know the team has wasted 3/4th of the game running RB/QB and trail by 15pts they can afford garbage stats. Maybe Rob is regaining yardage on yards he lost scrambling or running in the backfield. Garçons #'s are up. Besides Reed, has anybody else caught a single pass all season? No! Well, I support Hank. The whole point I make is take away robs runs and give to Alfred or use passing downfield to receivers. I love the offense. It's fun on my NCAA '13 game. But it's f'n insane to read people attacking opposition to Kyle with out of context stats like we are on course for wins, postseason, Super Bowl, and championships. Unless you have a different math that 3-6 is a good thing, face facts. 2012 7 game win streak is still < fantasy of Kyle having a logical system and Robert being the dream pocket passer alluded by their defense. I think every QB on every team is able to pass more in this new era. 3 1st round draft picks ought to have bought us a QB not a RB/QB hybrid. We are trying to get RINGS not RatINGS and marketing dollars. Even if we had a the '85 Bears defense, my complaints would be the same= let the RB run, pass the ball downfield, and play solid defense. I think we are all old enough to remember what the nfl was. |
