Re: Brown released, Nick Novak signed

Brown was explosive and yes had potential...but remember last year in Dallas? Remember preseason? Remember last friggin week? His turnover damn near cost a touchdown! His fumble vs Dallas last year cost us a game. This guy was going to cost us at least another game or two this season. I was hoping he corrected it, but apparently not. He will land somewhere to haunt us I am sure, but he was KILLING this team with badly timed turnovers.

Re: Brown released, Nick Novak signed

The tone has been set and by benching Ramsey and cutting Brown Coach Gibbs is showing zero tolerance. I love it!! Its not as ruthless as Jimmy Johnson cutting that RB on Christmas Eve, but it has definitely stirred things up around here.

Brown got as much rope as you give a return specialist, I mean the guy has one role on the team and fumbling kickoffs is not one of them. Along with the drops and the fact that we already have capable replacements on the roster. This could end up being extremely beneficial, I'm geeked just at the thought of Moss returning punts for us. We haven't had that kind of excitement since the days of Mike Nelms. Brown was causing excitement too, just too much of the wrong kind.

Hmm, I thought this might be a possibility. Though I thought he might get one more chance to redeem himself. But as SportsCurmudgeon has mentioned before, if all that mattered was blazing speed then Cliff Russell would still be here

you only get chances on this team if you're named Mark.

The bar has been raised. This is absolutly the right call imho.

In addition to turning the ball over I wouldn't get stupid penalties either...Joe is serious this year
