I think that would be fairly standard treatment for any of the serious candidates. If memory serves even Zorn got treated to a dinner and he was already on staff.

If any of them were also former co-workers with Allen, I'm sure they will.

People, especially in the media, read too far into things.

They used to work together and one guy comes into town, so they have dinner to catch up.

Heck, I wouldn't care if he invited Griffin to the dinner to meet the man who might be his new coach.
