Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Vick wins that job hands down. He's simply a better QB than Smith. They need to get him some more weapons. The question is can he stay healthy?

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Vick has always been one of those guys I like to watch in other places. Mainly because my theory is when a team is struggling on offense a scrambling QB can raise your teams floor. Of course if that same QB has trouble throwing like Vick in Atlanta then you can only go so far.
Plus the Jets aren't a bad place for him to get shipped off to because this time if he revives his career he won't be doing it in the NFC East. Though at present time I think a lot of people have forgotten that Rex Ryan is a hell of a coach. To get that team last year to 8-8 not to mention two consecutive AFC Championship appearances with Mark Sanchez as your QB isn't exactly easy to pull off. Kind of sad that the scandals and the melodramas have taken away from that but it's something that seems to have been lost recently.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Vick is definitely an upgrade over Sanchez and Geno. Not that it's saying much being better than two busts.
Vick should win the job, play a handful of games and then get hurt. |

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Yeah he won't last 5 games. I think the Skins knocked him out of at least two seasons, I know you "shouldn't" like to see anyone hurt but screw it, I loved watching those games with Sheagles fans.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Vick wins that job and I can't imagine him losing out to Smith. He also may have a good year because he is being rejoined with Morningweg who was the coordinator in Philly in '10.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings Thread
Surely you jest.
I'm a fan of Geno's. He started last year poorly, but he wasn't ready to be the Day 1 starter, and then with the Mark Sanchez cloud hanging over him, he was given too much criticism. Some of it was fair, some of it wasn't. I hope he can develop into a good QB. |
