You've lived in Baltimore, right? I've said it before - there is a significant part of the Ravens' fan population that are simply Eagle fan wannabees.

Yeah, their reactions to him didn't surprise me at all. Ravens fans (not all, obviously, but a vocal portion of them) will support anything their players do but will jump all over the slightest perceived slight against them.
I was just shocked that my coworker, the biggest ravens ball licker ever, actually agreed with them releasing him. But sure enough, the fact that rice didn't play particularly well in '13 played into his opinion.

I know we all give passes to our guys to a certain extent, but this is the same fan base that worships ray lewis, a guy who very likely had a hand in the murder of two men.
