Re: Skins vs. Vikes Pregame Thread
Does it scare anybody else that Snyder is going to turn out like Jerry Jones? Like down on the sideline telling the coach who to put in the game?

Also please note that Bruce Allen in included in this scenario. It's not just Snyder putting the screws to Gruden.

Re: Skins vs. Vikes Pregame Thread
ESPN has lot of that gossip column stuff, and they can always lean on sources and say someone else said it if it blows up. We also have a guy in town that does the same thing, and he is accurate about 10% of the time.

Re: Skins vs. Vikes Pregame Thread
Vikes cannot stop the Offense. Robert hits his stride in the quarter and never looks back. Our front 7 takes care of business and Teddy.
Skins 28 Vikes 17

Re: Skins vs. Vikes Pregame Thread
I think this should motivate them to win. Win and you silence the drama. Lose and we'll be hearing this shit throughout the bye.

Re: Skins vs. Vikes Pregame Thread
U would think your returning starting QB would inspire and fire up your team. Is their any truth to pissing off your locker room, who really knows at this point with all the crap that went on last year, I really don't know. I think there could be some truth to it, I think some in the locker room are sick of the back and forth.

Re: Skins vs. Vikes Pregame Thread
Good perspective from Rich Tandler
Re: ESPN reports that a) RG3 had "alienated" the locker room and b) that the decision to start Griffin today came from Snyder. There's no doubt that some players would rather stick with Colt after winning two in a row with him. I think it's a leap to go from there to "alienated". Nobody who is around the team on a regular basis believes that's the case (the ESPN reporter who had the story is not at Redskins Park on a regular basis). The incident she reported from Friday did happen but it had more to do with other issues and nothing to do with a lack of respect for Griffin. Did Snyder dictate today's RG3 start? Don't know. Since Shanny left Schefty hasn't been very well wired into the Redskins organization but I don't think that he just made it up either. All I know is that Jay Gruden never ruled out today as a date for Griffin's return, even going back a few weeks when Griffin first appeared on the practice field. It also should be noted that Schefty said that people "believe" the decision to play Griffin came from above. He did not report that it happened. Key distinction here. |
