a bit of a shame that he had to make one last statement after handling this season so well.
He did handle the season and his place in it well. But I think this is the first of a LOT more to come from him. He will begin talking quite a bit more in the next couple of months.

Guys are backing him up so wouldn't really put much into it...rg3 was classy all year.

Here is a tweet from Keenan Robinson with pic of quote:

1 of many reasons @RGIII's career is far from over. He handled his situation with professionalism and class #Respect

No question that our D held us back this year (and yesterday). Not being able to stop the run (still perplexed about that given Baker, Hatcher, and Knighton up front -- do we really miss Paea that much?). I think part of it is that Foster and Compton have been good, but run stuffing isn't necessarily their strength. We need a little more help/depth inside.

Safety is a big need too, and CB. For the first time in forever, it seems like we're only a handful of players away from being a very good team -- G/C, S, ILB, and CB -- additions to add to what we have now. But we seem set at QB, WR, RB (I think our guys bounce back next year with better run blocking, and RBs aren't impossible to find), T, OLB, K, P, PR, KR, and TE (assuming Paul back healthy).

1. Re-sign Kirk Cousins.
2. Improve interior line (LG, C).
3. Improve D-line (Replace Hatcher, re-sign Knighton but he has to get in better shape).
4. Hoping that Garcon & DJax will restructure their deals.
5. More Secondary depth
6. Draft a blocking TE

I think it has mostly to do with the personnel. As some have posted the Skins have some holes to fill to make them a quality team.

I completely agree. I think the defense lost us this game.
We were not prepared for the hurry up offense. Why? I wonder if they concentrated on this at practice? Our defensive front 7 looked lost, tired and out of shape. Very frustrating to watch.
I heard Danny Kannell talk about when his former teams defense prepared for a good hurry up offense, they would run two scout team offenses (huddles) and they would run play after play back to back as quickly as possible. Even faster then a single hurry up offense would run plays. So that way their defense got used to an even faster pace then a single unit can do. He said after his defense practiced at that speed all week, the game day hurry up offense seemed slow by comparison and they kicked ass.
I would really like to know if the redskins defense prepared for the hurry up t all or like this?

that is a good start

3. I thought Knighton had a weight clause in his contract, do not resign him unless he loses 30+ pounds and keeps it off

7. running back

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)

We label it "personnel issues" but Joe Berry not using some extra pass rushers last night was inexcusable. The Packers didn't have any threat to beat the defense over the top (consistently anyway) and even if they did that shouldn't stop you from sending a linebacker or two on obvious passing downs.

Allowing Rodgers to sit back and get comfortable was the biggest head-scratcher in the game. Maybe he would have burned the defense a few times. Big Deal, they put up 35 points regardless of trying to go vanilla. How much more points would they have had otherwise? Once Green Bay made an adjustment our coaches on defense straight up went limp or became deer in headlights as if they were out of options. It was frustrating to watch.

Glad griff is gone, not a hater by any means but it's beyond time. On M&M this morning theo Riddick was on and he basically said the skins should be the favorites in the east next yr. I think it's going to be a better division but we will be better also.

To me he coached scared, if you have watched GB the last month teams have blitzed them and knocked 12 down all game. Vikings, cards, Denver etc. I understand we don't have a great secondary like AZ or den but cmon man at least take some shots. I will say he did a solid job for what he had this yr. We need more speed on d

I wish RGIII well. The last half of 2012 was incredibly fun (destroying the 'Boys on Thanksgiving made that, well, pretty much the best Thanksgiving ever). Would love to see him resurrect his career someplace (not in the NFC East).
I agree. I'll always remember 2012 for the good times, and if KC is who we think he is, we will definitely forget the bad times. As long as he stays out of the NFC East I'm happy. But if he would rather go be a backup for the Cowboys instead of go to a place like Houston and compete for the chance to start then f him. I think he's smart enough to go somewhere where he's got a shot to start though. That won't happen in Dallas.

I dont think we need to draft a blocking TE. I think we need to continue focusing on the scheme we've used the past 6 weeks. Spread game and exposing mismatches aka NE style.

I disagree. Bringing in a reserve guard/Tackle to play TE limits play calling on short yardage plays.
I hope we don't see Reed, Paul and Paulson together next year. I would like to see a big TE in the mix.

Charlie Casserly said that the Redskins need better corners.....the coverage in the secondary could have been better....maybe McCloughan drafts a cornerback and trades for another.... maybe Breeland and Culliver are not as shut down as they made out to be. Yesterday's game revealed that.

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)

Culliver has been banged up all year and we have money committed to him so he is going to start. I would prefer to see another corner added and move Breeland to the slot.

We need to get something out of punt returns. Crowder isn't cutting it. I feel like he is Randel El back there.
