Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
I think Grant is one of those guys that can push others, because he looks good in practice. But after a few years of not moving up the depth chart he loses that edge. I would be shocked if he is on the team after final cuts.

I think Grant pushes others because he performs well in practice. It's really Doctson that will get pushed. But Jay genuinely likes Grant and will definitely keep him around as the 4th guy behind Crowder, Pryor and Doctson. He has the versatility to play the X, the Y, or the slot - not well mind you, but Gruden likes the jack-knife aspect. That's what will help him dress every game day.

Maybe, but Maurice Harris has shown more in games than Grant and they like this Robert Davis kid too (particularly his size). Someone will be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
I hope we can at least get Davis on the PS. I like big, fast, strong receivers. Hell, I like that at every position lol.

I like Brian Quick, as well.

To me, outside the top 3, Grant is the closest there is to a lock. He is a guy who can reliably run the plays if one of the top 3 goes down. Not really true of any of the rest. I think they keep six with the competition for the final two between Davis, Harris, and Quick with Quick being the odd man out. He is experienced, true, but that's why you keep Grant. Harris played well last year and seemed (to me anyway) to get better with play throughout the year, so he still has the "potential" factor working for him. Same with Davis who seems to be getting really good reviews. If Harris and Davis stick, all the more reason to keep Grant. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN
Yeah but unless you think Gruden is just blowing smoke by talking up Grant so much, there's no way it will Grant as the one that's disappointed. I think they keep Davis because he has the deep threat ability. Harris probably gets cut.
