I think Doctson has #1 talent, but he's very soft IMO. If you combined his raw talent with Garcon's competitive mentality, you would have a Top-10 receiver, without question.

He gotta grow. I swear, Cousins put the ball on him in the first quarter coming out of a break on a square in/deep slant, Doctson was flying and had the safety to beat and that safety looked to be planted, not moving.....and he drops it. One move around the safety, that coulda been 6.

Those were exactly the same patterns Rivers and his receivers were carving up Cowboys the previous week. deep slants, square ins....

The problem with Doctson is he is used as a pitch hitter, he gets one target a quarter if he is lucky.
This is ok for veteran players but he needs to be the primary target on nearly all pass plays.
He needs to get a feel for working DBs and setting up plays later in the game.

I think he can be a true #1 WR but we have to trust him with back shoulder throws and slants. These are easy routes for WRs and the fact that we don't have 1 guy on the team that can run a god damn slant tells me this coaching staff (FU IKE HILLIARD) is limiting his production.
