Ehhh I don’t know. He looked like he was trying to hold up. I feel if the shoe was on the other foot I’d be pretty pissed

It’s like running into the kicker. It doesn’t matter whether in his heart he was trying not to hurt the target.

Re: Mannies v. Eagles GameNight Thread
It was definitely the right call, and every football talking head has said as much. Some have said that they don't like it at that point of the game, but I don't know how you can call it in the 1st quarter and not call it in the 4th quarter. Everybody talks about the referees and consistency, but then they don't want consistency in certain moments. It's BS.

Re: Mannies v. Eagles GameNight Thread
Brandon Graham was 5 yards away from Heineke when he kneeled down. He took 2.9 more steps and hit him 2 seconds later. I don't know what the discussion is. It was unnecessary roughness. I've seen a lot less called.
News Flash for all NFL defensive players...The NFL is going to protect the QB. |

But I think we got some calls that went our way. The ref who missed the Davis facemask was standing right in front of that tackle and for whatever reason didn't call it. That was such an egregious facemask plus it was a turnover. The ball should've went back to Philly plus 15. We got some breaks go our way last night no doubt. |

I agree, it wasn't a perfectly officiated game. We got some calls, and they got some calls. Graham didn't blow Heinicke up, but he also didn't have to touch him at all...let alone knock him over. Either way, to go in there on Monday night and knock them off their high horse was impressive, and it wasn't a result of the officiating. They were simply outplayed. |
