Re: Commanders 2025 Offseason Thread
I might get torched for this but I felt Peters did better in FA than draft (which is still way early to judge) JD was obvious I feel his real hit was Mikey but we need more of those type of picks.

Each draft you want at least 3 long-term starters. We have 2 for sure with Jayden and Sainristil. I think Coleman can be a starter but hopefully at LG and Sinnott. But 2 of those 4 are just projections, so I won't torch you. And Peters brought in the right FA's. He pretty much hit on all of them. It's hard to compare though, because draft picks are long term choices, while FA signings were a lot of 1 or 2 year patchwork jobs to help build the culture. Overall, Peters gets an Easy A from me.

1-{2): QB Jayden Daniels, LSU 2 (36): DI Jer’Zhan Newton, Illinois 2 (50): CB Mike Sainristil, Michigan 2 (53): TE Ben Sinnott, Kansas State 3 (67): OT Brandon Coleman, TCU 3 (100): WR Luke McCaffrey, Rice 5 (139): LB Jordan Magee, Temple 5 (161): S Dominique Hampton, Washington 7 (222): EDGE Javontae Jean-Baptiste, Notre Dame The first 3 picks look to grow into studs. Sinnott and Magee were key ST's with high upside Sinnott was tucked clearly behind Ertz, who played above expectations and was a clear safety valve for Daniels - I think Sinnott takes that role next year. Hampton and Jean-Baptiste were good role players on the team for late round picks. The only pick I think will be an obvious whiff is McCaffrey and even he showed value on returns. Coleman held his own at LT, that was huge. He was a 3rd round selection who easily could have been a bust (think Evan Neal drafted by the NYG a few years ago) long termhe may move to OG if we get an elite LT, but he is a longterm OL fixture in the 3rd round. I don't get what more you want from AP's draft? Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |

Well Ill say it. AP knows as much about football as my grandmother does. He sucks. FA and the draft were both jokes last year that got us nowhere fast and the Daniels pick is just a dingleberry on the top of a mountain of shit that this franchise has become since Snyder and Rivera left. |
