what marcus vick did ( stomping on the back of a players knee ) was truly bad and very disrespectful. spitting in someones face is disgusting but not really a big deal as far as i'm concerned. i think players get spit on more than the nfl wants us to believe, brian mitchell said that he had been spit in the face on more than one occation when he played.

It's like taking a shot at someone's mother, although I would rank spitting with any other cheap shot, but there can be differences between a cheap shot, and a personel foul. To me a cheap shot is just like spitting in the face, and let's face it there's no room any where for either.

I have one question? If you get spit on, what is the first reaction besides thinking "asshole"? if you watch the spitting video, when do you ever see Pittman even attempt to wipe anything off? I guess he must love that Sean Taylor saliva, um um good. what a dumbass.

Unreal!!!!!! We all love Shawn Taylor and think he's a great player...but to justify by any means spitting in a mans face is crazy!!!!!!!! Let someone spit in your face Pittman should have kick him in the balls.... Taylor may be a great player but that was low sick and F_ckin degrading... how can anyone possibly defend this?

Can we take an official poll on this Matty, it seems that we all agree that what Taylor did was bad and that the ref should have issued two penalties. The only remaining question that we can not seem to agree on is, "is spitting worst than a physical attack?" If we poll it, people will shutup. Well, maybe not, but its a step.
