this is the first time in a long time the skins have a favorable schedule. the bye week in a great spot and down the stretch just about all the games that matter are at home

Don't forget though we had Oakland and San Diego at home last year and we lost both games. If we won one of those games we could have won the division.

Another scheduling quirk is that we have opened the season at home for 5 years in a row now.

The last opening day the Skins were away was at San Diego in 2001.

I remember that one pretty clearly, Jeff George was awful and got an earful from Marty on the sideline.

No doubt. Should have won both. But since the outcome fueled the fire that massacred the Boys and G-men at home 3 weeks later, I'm very satisfied with the outcome.
