Team to beat is going overboard, especially if you're saying team to beat in the entire NFL. I'd say they're the strongest team in the NFC East besides us. Tough competition. We can take them if we have our act together though. Our coaches have theirs outclassed in the battle of wits; and our player personnel hangs with theirs in terms of talent.

The key to the iggles was and has been McNabb, IMO. He makes bad receivers look decent, and good ones look great. Plus Reid's scheme fits his talent with McNabb and Westbrook. McNabb is the best QB in the NFC east, much as I hate to say it. But the Texans are very, very bad. Next week will give us a better idea of where the iggles are.

I'd be willing to give every team in the NFL the benefit of the doubt in the first half of the opening game. If you think about it, most everybody has the first game jitters, teams are feeling each other out, and it's not unusual even for the better teams to come out of the gate stumbling but finish the game the way they're supposed to. The Patriots were a good example of that yesterday.

For the record, the Eagles did beat the Texans fairly handily.
