They build through the draft, leave enough cap space to re-sign their core guys in-season, thus making even those long-term deals extremely cap friendly. In short, they are a very stable organization, with far less turnover than the Skins. I remember Gibbs calling both Smoot and Pierce two of his core guys during the '04 season, and how did that end up? The Philly philosophy would have left ample cap space to sign both at a discount before allowing them to sniff free agency. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dockery get a sizable offer and depart once the FA market opens.
