When he was interviewed out in Arizona he said his speed was fine and that he felt great. Springs was hurt all year and was still the best CB. You are going to let Rogers or Smoot cover number ones? I don't think so. That would be a terrible decision. Rebuilding a defense starting with a cover safety doesn't make sense. Having 2 #2 corners is going to be a bigger hole than having an average cover safety. What good is generating additional pressure if they can just lob it to their #1 wideout. I still have not seen a viable argument how the defense is better by removing the best cornerback. |
