I went to high school with Halpern, when I knew him he was just a little freshman trying to make the JV baseball team.

Cush, do you think Leonsis potentially has the Caps to be in really good shape to get free agents a couple of years from now? You have to figure there's going to be some sort of salary cap when the NHL returns from its inevitable lockout. So with the Caps cutting so much cost now, they'll be in prime position to compete for top notch players in a more competitive, salary-controlled market. What do you think?
