That is the very part that scares me, Williams often overthinks his defensive schemes leaving his defense out to dry. Last year the D appeared to be in need of getting back to the basics, all the blitzes are unnecessary and we don't have the right personel to call an all out blitz just because it's third down. I have to totally disagree with you on that. Any coach can put together a basic D that plays straight up football but its the clever coaches who have better scheems which are the top tier coaches. That is what GW does and has always done so maybe you need to go back to his two privious years to see what he can do. Yes last year was a bust so that s why you have to look at more than just last year.
