Re: FedEx crowd noise
I can say that I have been to every game for the last 3 seasons and this was the first time I noticed it. It was clear to me, beyond any shadow of doubt, they were doing it. It wasn't just noticeable but it was obvious. Unless the crowd directly beneathe the corner endzone speaker that pointed directly at me was simply extra extra loud then it defintely happened. My question is this. Does anyone really care? I don't think it helped any. I doubt it did much other than get the crowd going a little more.

Re: FedEx crowd noise
My friend STU was at the game and I asked him about it and he said that yes the Stadium was pumping out crowd noise through the loud speakers.
That's wrong. Hail Skins peace mike

As far as proof, how is anyone going to be able to provide proof of this? If you're there you either hear it or you don't. Of course 90,000+ people are going to be loud as all hell but that doesn't mean that the people who run the stadium would never pump in sound. Hell, maybe they do it to try to pump up those 90,000 people and get them to yell louder.

Re: FedEx crowd noise
I'm sure someone has already said this, but the Colts were caught putting in a base undertone when their defense was on the field during 3rd down or something. This effectively increased crowd noise I assume because someone found out.

Re: FedEx crowd noise
I was there and I didn't notice it. It was VERY loud but I don't think we did anything illegal like pumping sound through the speakers. I do think that the crowd noise was the loudest I have ever heard it.

Re: FedEx crowd noise
Maybe it has to do with where you sit in relation to the speakers. When I sit in my normal seats I notice it because the speakers are right behind us, but I've also sat in the club and lower levels and not heard it.
IMO, what I've heard sounds more like when you're talking to someone on the phone and they set the handset down for a minute for whatever reason. You sort of hear that background buzzing sound but nothing too specific. It doesn't really sound like they are completely blasting the sound of yelling and screaming.

I wasnt aware that this was considered "wrong" or "not fair". Havent colleges been doing this for years. I would almost guess that quite a few NFL teams add some crowd noise via speakers. To me, I dont think its that bad.

I know its not allowed in the NFL and would think the same for college.

Re: FedEx crowd noise
I was in 217. I heard the fake crowd noise coming from the speakers at perfectly executed times. I've never heard that ever happen before at Fed Ex.

Re: FedEx crowd noise
dirthogs why dont you shut up and scream your asss off and not worry about whats coming out of the speakers, and by the way fedex is so loud and crazy theres no reason for use to play "fake noise".

Re: FedEx crowd noise
Wow.... nice comment. I think Dirt brought up an interesting point that alot of other fans who were at the game had the same thoughts...... If we are cheating, we want it to stop. I have a friend who is a Patriots fan who is completely embarrassed by his team's scandal.... do we want the same thing?

Re: FedEx crowd noise
Ok, to believe this is going on and most have said that they have heard this at several if not all the games we would then have to believe this. That all the TV technical people, members of other teams organization, and any one else working on behalf of the NFL (not employees of Snyder) have never noticed this. I just don't believe that all of these people trained to do sound and TV could have not noticed if this was true and someone would have picked this up. When you have that many people in an area like FedEx sound can do some funny stuff.
