Re: James Thrash

Thrash is ok at best.
I can only see him in 3 WR sets...which is rare anyways.

If he starts over Lloyd, I will be upset.
Yes, I think Lloyd may suck, but...cmon, he's got a lot of natural ability.

I understand if they start Thrash, just to send Lloyd a message...but the plan was always...Moss, Lloyd, Randel El...if Lloyd doesn't get in the game today, he never will.

Thrash aint anything special...yes, he does catch well, but does he have starting WR talent....I dont think so.

Asking for a retraction?
Well, I'd like to tone down my "starting WR talent" comment about Thrash, with...He's solid depth....boy I wish he got his feet in bounds....then we'd be saying he's number 3 on the team and a potential starter....but after today....
It seems like he should be #4 and Kennan should be 3....primarily because Keenan made his catches having the playbook for a week, vs years for Thrash....Its pretty close though!

I do love Thrash's hands!

Re: James Thrash

did anybody else besides me rise out of their seat when Thrash cut right at the start of his punt return? I swear that dude can still haul ass...soon as he broke for the sideline i thought he was gone..I mean, i love randle el back there, and cartwright is serviceable on kickoffs...but i love the way thrash attacks any opening given to him..

Glad he's on our team..

Just so you know I'm not disagreeing out of perfect hindsight vision, my posts leading up the game today said Thrash was the best replacement. You're wrong about him. Aside from ARE, Thrash is probably the best at getting open (Moss does it w/ his speed but not much beyond that). Thrash also has the best hands on the team (remember all the dropped passes to Moss and Lloyd). Even ARE drops a few. Thrash is almost a guaranteed catch and he is tough as hell after the catch. If anyone should move ahead of him it would be Caldwell.
