Our coaching is fantastic, with the only exception being Gibbs' clock management and overly conservative nature later in games. Our problem is with depth, and it has now been exposed by this rash of injuries.

Williams still has a tendency to stick to his scheme to a fault, regardless of results. He had Taylor for the Patriots game, and he decided to not blitz Brady at all, even when it was blatantly clear to everyone watching that Brady was perfectly content taking eight yard chunks all effing day. Then he comes back the following week and blitzes a mobile quarterback that can escape the blitz, 30 damn times.
Williams runs a very good defensive scheme, but it's overly dependent on exceptional talent. Yes Sean Taylor is a freak, but if Williams is truly a "fantastic" coach, the defense shouldn't fall apart because he's injured. I'm sure a lot of coordinators could put together a solid defense with freaks at every position.
