Re: Is Anyone Else Getting That '05 Season Vibe?
Redskins Insider
See JLC's latest update -root for the Falcons tonight! We are close to the driver's seat for that 2nd wild card. Chances are good that if we win out we're in. Much like in 05 our conference record & tie breakers are a strength. I don't know if I'm "feelin it" YET, but after only a 1 game win streak it's hard to feel it. If we beat the g-men, which I believe we can, we're all gonna start to talk next week about... Playoffs! Remember in 05, that 5 game wining streak was preceded by losses in 4 of 5 games, much like our 4 game losing streak this year. |

Question: If both the Saints and us win out, who makes it?

Re: Is Anyone Else Getting That '05 Season Vibe?
Correct. They would be 8-4 and we 7-5.

Ah, lame. Stupid Saints need to lose too. They deserve a playoff nod even less than we do.

Arizona has a soft schedule that includes the Saints...we have them if we win out, but if we don't win out, then I don't know. They could win their final three really easily. I still think 8-8 gets us in, provided we beat the Vikings.

Re: Is Anyone Else Getting That '05 Season Vibe?
The Saints remaining 4 games are in the NFC. If they win out they will be 9-7 like the Skins, if the Skins win out, so both the Saints and the Skins would be 9-7. They will not and have not played each other so the head to head tiebreaker will not apply. The Saints would be 8-4 in the NFC and the Skins would be 7-5, so the Saints would get that last Wildcard spot. Nothing the Skins can do but win out and hope the Saints lose at least one game, then both teams would be 7-5 in the NFC and the next tiebreaker is common games, which is too complicated to figure at this point. The Skins have a very tough 3 game streach. I don't realistically see us beating the Vikings at home right now, but I think we could be the Giants and maybe the backup Cowboys in week 17.

What if the g-men, Saints & us end up 9-7? The g-men have us, Buffalo & NE left. I could see them losing all 3.

They do! But even the blind squirrel finds a nut on occassion. The Giants were that blind squirrel 9 times this year, fortunately it was during a 13-week span!!!

My only question is, who is our first round opponent?
