The party line is that OC Mike Mularky favors blocking TE's over recieving ones so Crumpler would have little use in the offense. However I disagree with the move myself.

As I stated before I don't know how long Mularky is going to be the OC, especially on a team thats going to suck for the next five years. Personally I see him either being fired or taking a better job on a team that has a chance to score a TD or two. In the mean time Mularky is just trying to give himself something to do. So in my opinon, cutting your best offensive player just because the OC for the time being doesn't favor recieving TE's is a mistake. It's times like this where I'm glad I'm not a Falcons fan. Hail!!!
