I'm tired of the NFL and fans not saying enough about guys who snort dope (Cowboys), beat their wives, and shoot up night clubs just because they can make a touchdown. (If you smeared the football with teritaki sauce my dog would catch the ball every time.)
This isn't just about Vick. It's about dignity, whether it's an animal, another human being, or a woman.
Just because I've a twisted sense of humor (Trample the Elderly) doesn't mean I condone twisted behavior.
Yeah maybe I'm being a little self-righteous, but God D**m, electrocuting a half dead animal? At least shoot the poor thing and put it out of it's misery.

If you are trying to pull off the maniacal tone then you certainly captured it.

What you didn't capture is any semblance of rational. I like dogs as much as the next guy, maybe not as much as you and your dog with teriyaki sauce, but the next time an unsupervised canine mauls a child to death be sure to stick up for the dog. A dog in that situation would be put down even though they are just instinctually an animal. I don't agree with putting them down but our legal code says so.

I know that lots of us have strong bonds between our domesticated animals. People consider animals to be human and are very close to their pet. Some are even closer, like you with your dog and the teriyaki sauce, but there is a delineation there. Vick didn't cross it, you might be with teriyaki sauce...but what you do behind closed doors is your business. Vick didn't kill a multitude of human beings or the State and Federal penal systems would never allow him to integrate with soceity. He's getting out soon which means they don't consider animals in the same class as humans. Being that we consume various types of animal meat that's probably not a stretch.

Look, I think what he did is reprehensible. I don't like having to stick up for Vick but I think you are in the wrong here. He is young and a human of free will, who in time has the same chance for redemption on his mistakes as you would have if you did something foolish at that age.
