Campbell might not be a franchise QB or even a decent staring option, but one thing he doesn't do is make excuses. The fans( myself included) are the ones making excuses for him. IMO JC is a class act who does, says all the right things( aside from the play on the field) that teams want in a franchise QB. Thats why I think the fans want him to succeed so bad.

I like Jason Campbell too and I want to see him succeed more than anything, but there comes a time when you just need to perform. And the time is now (even though I really think the time to perform should be a player's opportunity to play in his first game).

If that means that there is a better qb to replace him (even on the current roster) then replace him. He just isn't consistent enough IMO to get this team to the next level (even as a defensive team).
