the bottomline is that posting is an outlet. who needs an outlet? those that are optimistic and those that are pessimistic. Like everyone else, I consider myself to be a realist, yet I'm sure people disagree with my assessment. Opinions are subjective by definition. Boards are made up of opinions. Such is life. There is little need to panic on the season, we should win the next several games. We did not look good- hall played horribly, so did smoot. Jason made some mental errors and we are relying pretty heavy on gadgetry. We lost to a better team.

Good question. I'm just a sucker for pain I guess? It will not be too long before I go to another team, perhaps next year? What will probably happen is Zorn and Soup will get sacked and I'll get sucked into the whole new coach and QB thing. Again, I'm probably just a sucker for pain. It doesn't sting as much as it used to though. It's like Dale JR fans. They know their boy stinks but they're still behind him.

I hate a loss as much as the next guy. My family moved to NOVA in 1976 and I have been a fan ever since. Thats 33 seasons now. there have been good ones and bad ones. I like the good ones and hate the bad ones. reality is 32 teams played in week one that means more than likely 16 teams are gonna lose, half the league is in the same boat we are...

Given that we lost by six points on the road to our toughest divisional opponent, the season is over. There is no hope.

Correct, but assuming that certain players will play up to whatever contract you give them is 1950's logic and has no place in modern sports.

Yeah, people are going to freak after a loss, but this last one was particularly panic-inducing, because of how similar the loss looked to our team of late last season. That being said, I am most certainly of the wait and see camp--we've got a much lighter schedule coming up, we never play well in Giant stadium, we only lost by 6 (not a reflective score, however...), there were some positives on offense and defense, etc. As for people posting wild frenzied threads and such, whatever--it's an internet message board. I like that we're less nutty than extremeskins, but it's going to happen. Let's just try not to be jerks to each other just because our beloved team stunk up the joint.

Many of us feel your pain DFI, and what you're saying is very true, but what you're also going to find is that it's not going to make a difference. It's the nature of the beast. Just continue to follow the forum throughout the season and witness the difference in reaction between a win and a loss. We have been saying what you're saying for years but the hits keep on coming. Keep the faith. | |

Most Redskins fans have two settings: (1) PANIC because the **** is hitting the fan and its splattering everywhere; and (2) EUPHORIC because the Redskins won a game and they're headed for the Super Bowl. Switching from one mode to the other within a few weeks causes most people to blow a gasket and go ape *****.

I think that is true for most NFL team's fan base or any sport for that matter. Also, I may say the skins suck at this or that on here but if a Boys fan or any other fan comes around I blindy support the skins as potential SB champs!
