Re: Potential Epic Fail
Cowher knows that Defense and running the football--winning in the trenches-- wins championships. Look at the teams in the past decade that set new scoring records, not many hoisted the Lombardi the same yr they did so. Viks,Rams, pats

Excellent point, I just see the NFL turning into a passing league IMO. Not Pats bro, Id give anything to have their success lately, lol. |

People who know football AND are Skins fans are realistically questioning how we are going to score to beat the Lions...especially with loss to our O-Line. If we can't score and the Lions can't score no matter what the game will be close at the end.

Re: Potential Epic Fail
Well, to say that the Rams and Pats didn't hoist the Lombardi trophy in the years where their offenses broke records is a little misleading, seeing as how both teams won Super Bowls with basically the same squads, and they each at least made it to the Super Bowls in the years in which their offenses were particularly stellar.

I bet half the posters on this board go out and buy gallons of water and boxes of batteries everytime the weatherman says there's a tropical storm in the Atlantic.

Re: Potential Epic Fail
Offense will definitely get off the schnide this sunday and in a big way. I see a large win. Detroit hasn't seen a defense like ours yet and I feel we may see a couple of defensive scores this week.

Great we beat the Lions...how does that bode on our prospects against competitive teams on the year? We've played one game vs a competitive team so far and the outcome was dismal. Our performance against one of the league's bottom teams does not indicate to me that we're a top level team competitively.

Re: Potential Epic Fail
I was trying to remember the last time we had a consistently competent offense, and sadly, that was way back when Norv Turner was our coach. I'm very troubled that Zorn doesn't deploy multiple BIG receivers when the offense gets inside the 10 yard line. We have yet to see a fade to Kelly, Thomas, or Mitchell for that matter. Drafting all these big WRs is a total waste if we refuse to use them. We should have used the three 2nd round picks in 2008 to bolster O-line depth.
