Really though, at 40yrs old to be playing at that level, it certainly is understandable why the media talks about Favre so much.

Man, last night's game and tonight's game have been very exciting.

And allow me to drink the Favre kool-aid for a second...Favre has beaten every single team in the NFL? Wow!

He did. I just thought the man-love was really evident. I've been a huge Favre fan his whole career until the past two years. The guy is awesome. It was just funny to me how much Gruden was gushing.

They look like a superbowl team to me they have a good defense lead by Allen, good passing game lead by a hall of famer, good returner on special teams in Harvin, oh and they have a RB that's a lil better than average

During one play I fell asleep at the snap...when I woke up, Favre was still waiting for a receiver to get open.

Re: Around the NFL week 4

I wish my t.v. had winshield wipers, that way I could've seen the game through the Favregasm the broadcasting crew was having.

They did give credit to Rodgers though. I think if Rodgers had any sort of an offensive line in front of me that game would've been much closer. On a diff. note the Vikings look for real. Pains me to say it with Brittfar at the helm but they are rolling, even if A.D. gets shut down now they've got a legit quarterback to win the game for them. And that defense is crazy even though Rodgers lit 'em up despite getting sacked 8 times.

The old man still has it. Gotta admit I was rooting for Favre last night. The guy is just fun to watch on the field.

Re: Around the NFL week 4

Gruden came close to having Favre as his QB last year, he's said if Favre came to Tampa maybe he would still have a job right now. Chucky loves QBs.

I admit I was wrong about Farve. I didn't think he was going to be able to come in and play at a high level w/out any training camp and offseason work. It's still early but for a guy that's almost 40, and to play like that it's just amazing. Dude is a true freak. But Minn. is really really good.

I remember when we played KC back in 05 and Allen just abused Samuels. I was like, "who the hell is this guy?" He's a pass rushing animal and is a true game changer.

Allen also benefits from those two tanks that Minny lines up at DT. Allen rarely sees a double.

Re: Around the NFL week 4

I've gotten sick of all the Favre talk the last few years. I'm all for letting anyone play if they want to play. Who cares about ruining legacies? Play if you want to play but just make a decision.

Last night was a great game though. It's hard not to like the guy. An amazing qb especially at his age. Great QB's use their eyes and pump fakes to throw off DB's. And Rodgers...the guy put up 340 and got sacked 8 times. Kudos to him too, he's got the "it" factor for a QB. GB's oline sucked but the QB still made plays. The oline sucked but their coaches called some very good blitz calls and quick throws to negate some of their pass rush. Good game to watch.

BTW...I kind of like Jon Gruden. He's a football guy w/ tons of experience. If given the tools would he be a good fit in DC? I wouldn't be disappointed as long as VC is gone.

I think what's interesting with Gruden is if he were to interview for the HC job here, I think he would push hard to bring Bruce Allen along with him as GM. I think that's the only way Gruden would come here, if he had it 100% his way.
