Anyway, S.Moss would be a lethal punt returner. But I agree with keeping him as a WR only. Seriously now -- Moss is our ONLY wide receiving threat. We kept Darrell Green healthy enough to retire at 42years old because we only used him sparingly as PR.

That being said, here's ARE's stats from last year:

Randel El: 6.5 yds/return last year, no TDs in THREE YEARS
He was 21st in return average

Perhaps it's not as bad as we think -- Devin Hester averaged 6.2yds in 2008. Anyway, I sure hope ONE of the new guys can return punts. It's simply sad that the coaches simply don't trust anyone else to field punts & not fumble them. I can't take another year of watching ARE jump around.

During the greatest stretch of his pro career, he had 8 TDs in 8 games. Stellar? Yawn. Despite his limitations, I'd actually like to see the Skins re-sign Campbell and use their first pick to draft a QB. They can re-build the O line with their other draft picks and via free agency. Maybe Campbell will step up like Drew Brees did when the Chargers drafted Philip Rivers.

We'd have a much improved JC and a rookie QB drafted in the top 10. Win-win!

I agree. The D is fine and would play much better if the O was half-way decent and actually gave the D the lead to play with every once in a while.

With better coaching and leadership, the Skins could be much improved with a better O line, Running back(s) and a new QB, although they could get by with JC for a few more years while they groom someone else. They could get this debacle turned around in a year or two.

Honestly at this point I don't know who's most at fault. I think a little of everyone goes a long way. I was watching the Pitt/Denver game last night and at one point the announcers were commenting on how long Big Ben has to throw the ball.....he had like 5.4 seconds. They talked about it like he had all day. How long is JC being given to get rid of the ball? 1 or 2 seconds? To me it seems like JC is being given time, he may not have the lanes to throw through or receivers may not be open but I seem to think he's being given the time. At some point JC needs to just let the ball fly and expect the WR to go after the ball. If he's doing his job then the coach's can yell at the WR/TE for not doing their part. I understand ball security but JC is simply over thinking some plays and when he decides that a certain receiver is open enough for him to get them the ball it's almost too late and he throws the ball at a spot where the receiver either has to slow down causing the defender to catch up or behind the receiver.

In the Atlanta game people want to bash Davis for not making the catch and it turning into an interception....how about JC not throwing the ball so hard on a 5 yrd pass, not throwing it too high, and not throwing it at a point behind the TE. I understand it it Davis's hands and he should have caught it, but I still think JC is partially to blame for not throwing the ball better, then there's the fact that we needed 22yrds and he's throwing to Davis 5yrds out with 3 defenders draped around him.

Yeah a 1 td per game avg is awesome but it kindof takes away some of the luster when a rook QB on a team as bad as Tampa can come in and throw 3 td's in his 1st yr in the system, 1st start.
Brees was good in SD, its not like he was a scrub and then the light came on when he got to N.O

He was blamed for not throwing the deep ball and always throwing the checkdown. Allegedly the line was horrible then too. It seems like for as long as i can remember, the redskins have had a horrible O-line.

Nobody is screaming bench Campbell, but they were screaming to bench Brunell when he did the same exact stuff. He actually had 8 TD's through 6 games in 2006, and when Jason had 1 TD per game, he was playing at a career level....go figure.

Brunnell never had a "horrible" line. Not even close.
