lmao
Jason La Canfora is saying that we may hire Eric DeCosta (Baltimore), Bobby DePaul (Chicago) or Doug Williams (Tampa Bay) to the front office staff...

Giggidy, giggidy, giggidy if we get DeCosta I will have a major joy-gassim

LaConfora is also reporting that Jon Grudens' contract with ESPN is iron clad, and no chance of him coaching here or anywhere else in 2010.

I would think that DeCosta wants his own GM position, DePaul I really don't know, Doug Williams (I think I had mentioned in another thread some weeks back) has been tied to coming back here in recent months. He's the most logical of those three. It's possible he was one of the minority candidates interviewed. With Campbell not getting the promotion (Scott Campbell that is) to GM, he might be out the door and Williams in.

How good is Doug Williams as a college scout? Would Morraco Brown and he be an upgrade over what we have now?

I don't necessarily think so. I mean Williams seems to be ok, but I don't know that he's much better than what we have now. Williams hasn't had the full responsibility of overseeing an entire draft, which is different from picking and choosing certain players. I mean it's one thing to say I'm going to paint this room, and another to say I'm going to build this house.

yeah, I was wondering how much experience he has actually had in building a team's draft board. He's never seemed to get credit for personel moves at tampa, but seems to be fairly highly regarded for something.

He has a great rapport with the players. They trust him, they respect him.
