Re: RUMOR: Trade talks between Browns (Brady Quinn) and Broncos (Brandon Marshall)
That artical is kind of interesting, because if the Broncos end up getting Quinn, theyll end up with the QB they supposedly “valued” highest, but likely at a much cheaper price then what Quinn would have gone for last year.

Re: RUMOR: Trade talks between Browns (Brady Quinn) and Broncos (Brandon Marshall)
I thought the main issue was the fact that Denver wanted a QB that they felt could be a starter...and they didn't feel sold on JC...

BS we can't. Sam can't take hits obviously, so why do you want him? His backup performed rather nicely during the bowl game. I will keep saying this till I am blue in the face, we need to get a guy that made his team better, ala Levefour or Kafka. Sam is a very good QB OKIE, but face it he was loaded with so much talent on offense an average QB could have made All American. The same goes for Tebow or McCoy. Lefevour had some talent on Central Michigan that helped him a bit, and Kafka was the entire NU offense. You take away Kafka from Northwestern, and the Wildcats don't win a game in '09. Both guys(Lefevour, Kafka) are good on their feet and can run when they need to. |

Chicago Bears acquire Jay Cutler from Denver Broncos for Kyle Orton, picks - ESPN Even if Denver chose Campbell over Orton, it didn't have much to do about whether one QB was better than the other, and more of which QB McD felt fit his "system" better. Given what transpired in the 2009 season, it is hard to straight up determine which of these QBs is the better one, however, at that moment I think the best QB for Denver was Cutler...it's just that McD wanted his own players and dismantled the Denver offense.

Re: RUMOR: Trade talks between Browns (Brady Quinn) and Broncos (Brandon Marshall)
True. It would be hard for anyone, including the Denver FO, to value Orton over Campbell or vice versa head-up in any major, substantial way. It's not like we're talking about Peyton Manning vs. Quincy Carter here. To the extent that such a valuation would have occurred, it would have unraveled within the context of "best for OUR SYSTEM."

Re: RUMOR: Trade talks between Browns (Brady Quinn) and Broncos (Brandon Marshall)
Quinn hasn't had a legit shot yet. The Browns are horrible and his support has sucked. Like someone else said, even if he goes to Denver he probably won't have much to work with either, but at least it's a much better organization that typically wins. The main problem with Denver these days is that McDaniels ego is way too big and it's going to continue to cost them valuable games.

All I care about is getting BM in a Redskin uniform.

So you have the old thinking of giving up picks for a splashy free agent? I thought that was over when Cerrato left town.

I have to agree with skinsfan69, because I think that Brandon Marshall would be unstoppable with NFC Corners regardless of whose throwing him the ball. All he cares about is having a good coach, and Money! What better place to go to than right here in Washington.

Brandon Marshall has a history of not getting along with Shanny (and McDaniels, too). BM is not comin' to D.C.
