We're getting a guy who's had two shoulder surgeries and has been playing on a bad ankle since college, the same ankle that has given him trouble two seasons with the Rams.

Does this guy have potential, of course he does. But he's been a bust until now. No other way around it, guys.

Do we hope he pans out, sure. But there's nothing in his brief NFL career to suggest that the Redskins got the better of this deal. If he stays healthy, I'll consider this a good deal for the Redskins. His production on the field is another issue.

Carriker actually had a pretty good rookie season. He was named Rams rookie of the year (for what that's worth). His sophomore season he slumped for sure, but the jury is out on whether it was him or the system. Then last year, yeah, he was injured. So he has not shined but I think it is too early to label him a bust.
