Greg Williams: Catch-22?

I think the 49ers were interested in interviewing Williams, not sure if there was any sort of formal offer for an interview but I remember something being mentioned that he wasn't interested.

And if someone were to offer him $5M a year, he would be crazy to not jump all over it, but I can't see anybody offering him that much.

True, but if his defense finishes in the top 5 again next year with the losses of Pierce and probably Smoot, I think there will be a few more phone calls headed in Williams' direction.

Bottom line is it's only a matter of time before he becomes a HC again, I'm not sure he's a lock to succeed Gibbs like some people here say.

If Gibbs lives up to his end of the bargain and coaches his full 5 years (I think chances are good he will), I can't see Williams waiting around that long.
