Re: Comeback Redskin of 2005

Ramsey without a doubt. Aside from him, I have to look at Walt Harris. If we draft a CB, then Harris is unlikely to start, but if we don't, then his play will definitely have a huge impact on the performance of the defense. I know it seems like a cliche at this point, but we've said it a thousand times, GW's system often leaves the corners out in one-on-one coverage, and if they don't play well, we might be in some trouble.

I gotta go Lavar.

I know lavar got hurt and everything and we did great without him, but the man is one of the best atheletes the league has ever seen. He will have a huge impact on the defense and games in general. Thats just one more huge playmaker to add to the roster and the captain of our defense. There are alot of people who are down on lavar for some reason lately and i just cant understand it.

Oh and I think they were talking abouit someone returning from an injury last year guys... Ramsey finished the season.

Yeah I can understand all the Ramsey talk but I suppose I should have been clearer in the initial post. I did mean a player that we missed for most of last season due to injury. I guess I could have thrown John Hall in there as well.

Re: Comeback Redskin of 2005

I'm going with Ramsey for several reasons.

First, I'm a big fan of Ramsey - hence my screen name.

Second, I have faith in Gibbs and his ability to make a QB look good. Look what he did for Brunell. Seriously though, Gibbs will make Ramsey look good.

Third, I still STRONGLY believe that Ramsey has enormous potential. Give the guy a good coaching staff (which he has), a good offensive line (which he'll have with Rabach and Jansen), a good running back (which he has with Portis), and decent wideouts and any quarterback will look decent. For those reasons, I think Ramsey will shine.

Fourth, I think Ramsey has the respect of his teammates. He's young, tough, a gun-slinger, and is a "team-guy."

I went with Jansen, though I think Barrow getting significant minutes might be the NFL's comeback story of the year.

So much of our offensive woes last year were based on a patchwork offensive line. Jansen is a stellar run blocker, which would have helped Portis. Better runs mean better play action. Better play action means defenses adjust to us, not the other way around.

Arrington,Jansen and Barrow will all have great years! Barrow will take away the sting away from the loss of Pierce and give us time get a draft pick ready when he is done! Arrington also will help that as well just being on the field. As for Jansen I really think he will be a big part to the O getting back to what it should be!!!!

Re: Comeback Redskin of 2005

I voted Arrington because I think he will add so much to the defense, he's a dynamic player who Williams will take full advantage of.

But I do think Jansen's return will be HUGE to the offensive line.

You Ramsey-jock sniffers are hillarious. Your hero hasn't proven jack nor shown jack. He has gotten chance after chance and still his win-loss record is putrid.

But you losers will keep making up excuses for him.

Draft Leinart.

Re: Comeback Redskin of 2005

I went with Jansen. I think the oline was very meidocre and he will add alot. I'm also very excited to see Arrington for obvious reasons. However; I am very excited to see Matt Bowen back in action this year. I know he's not the best cover guy, but they were blitzing him like crazy last year and it worked alot! I cant wait for September.

jasen, hands down we now know who the captian of the guard is. it's not samuels but jansen. the line never recovered from his loss. main reason why the offense sucked last year.

Re: Comeback Redskin of 2005

I'm not going to bash Bowen, but I think we are all being a little premature in saying how his return will bolster the D so much. He only played in what, one game? I DID like the fact that, unlike Smoot, he DID end up actually hitting the QB when he blitzed.
