Unless one of the other guys steps up big in camp and shows he can pick up blitzes (which seems doubtful given the lack of an offseason), KW's spot seems pretty safe.
All up to the philosophy of the team. Tons of teams have blockers in as their 3rd down back, tons of teams have speedsters. I personally agree with matty and like a blocking back with the addition of they have to be able to run routes, catch, and run after the catch well.

I wouldn't say kw's spot is necessarily safe though. When two RB's are drafted (and the possibility of and undrafted back coming in...this is shanahan we're talking about), nobody but the top dog is safe. IMO the top dog is Torain. I think it is probable that we carry 4 RBs this year, but I wouldn't call KW "safe."
