This has nothing to do with who we think is a great rookie QB anyways, it's about weighing which offensive player deserves the award more, and just by looking at the stats the picture gets pretty clear.

Just to let you know Luck has 225/224 more passing attempts than Wilson/RGIII. That tells me the Colts lack a running attack (no Morris or Lynch). More passing attempts more INT's. Luck has 4183 yards passing 254 rushing, 26 TD's 21 passing 5 rushing 18 INT's 8 fumbles. No one comes close to RGIII 750 rushing yards just like no one comes close to Luck's passing yards. The award will go to whoever takes their team deeper into the playoffs. Could be Wilson.

Given how close the race is, I think you may be right. Whoever makes the most playoff noise likely will win.

I could be wrong but I think it's a regular season award. Votes may already be taken before the playoffs start.

If you average things out, RGIII would still have less INT's even if he trough twice as many times as he has this season.

Luck deserves all the praise in the world but I'm not gonna say he deserves the award over the other two because his team was bad last year.
