And we would have run the table in the playoffs all the way to the Superbowl. And as for the post-game interview that also has everyone's knickers in a knot ... I thought it was outstanding. I love the way Robert stands tall with the truth. We haven't even seen the beginning of what's possible with him at the helm. For Gaea's sake, for the first time in forever we can say there's next season and KNOW it to be true. People need to calm down. |

re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
But maybe not completely different.
Obviously, yesterday he was playing on a injured knee from the Steelers game, which was injured because of a hit that would have injured anyone's knee. But at Baylor he tore his ACL when he planted his right foot while running, not because of a hit. And not to draw any comparisons to yesterday, but after tearing his ACL at Baylor he came back into the game and continued to play, before being kept out by his coach after halftime. Im not a doctor, but like most people on this forum, i too like to speculate. And in my purely speculative opinion knee injuries that happen for no apparent reason concern me the most. Jarvis Jenkins last year, Meriwether this year. Those concern me, because they seem like they could be the chronic Olden/Malcom Kelly type. But sometimes those tears that just happen for no particular reason are just that, and the player never has a problem again. Hopefully one of those random and without reason ACL tears is what happened to Griffin back at Baylor. Griffin’s first, and seemingly more concerning, injury happened in 2010 and until recently he hasnt had any issues at all. And his current injury only happened because of a hit that would of compromised anyone's knee. Like everyone im hoping it turns out its just furthered sprained and hell be fine. Im very optimistic if it turns to be his MCL. And im only really worried about the health of his right knee if it turns out to be his ACL, but not nearly as worried as i would have been if it hadnt been injury related. More importantly im worried about his long term health, because as special of a player he is when he's scrambling, hes not going to last at all doing that with any regularity, he just doesn’t have the body for it. He doesnt have a body like Elway or even Steve Young. Luck and Wilson can get away with being regular scramblers but Griffen cant and will never be able to. But that’s fine because he can be a HOFer if he stands in the pocket all day like Brady or Manning.

I hope RG3's dad stays healthy for many many more years, not just until training camp.

Although it was apparent RGIII was not "right" even from the start of the game, he gave us our best chance to win. He's still one of the best passers in the game without his legs. I regret nothing about watching our franchise QB who just turned us around from worst to first in a single season trying to win a playoff game for us. He's a true leader and this knee will heal up and we'll be even better next season when we get half of our defense back from injury and hopefully sure up that safety spot, plus some weapons on offense like Davis and hopefully Helu. After a division title and 10-win season, things are still looking up in our future. We had a ton of what should have been devastating injuries to our success and still won 7 straight to win the division and make the playoffs. I'm more than satisfied with this season. It has been amazing. I have not been this excited about the Redskins since our 1991 season. Next year, we have the potential to be that '91 team, dominating everyone. I'm fine with the season ending now. Griffin would try everything he could come up with to get on the field if we were playing next week...and I'm glad he won't have to put that knee under any more stress. Time to rest it and let it heal. Robert, we're not disappointed in yesterday's loss, we all thank you for the amazing rookie season you just had. Lets take care of yourself now and do it all again in September. We want you around for as long as possible. Thanks for the memories, from this season and for years to come. HTTR!

Everybody is talking about Griff, but nobody is talking about Cousins. You know - the guy we drafted in the fourth round to back up RG-3 in case he gets hurt. The guy who came into what might as well have been another playoff game against Baltimore, cold off the bench, and saved the day. The guy who went on the road and lit up the Browns in what would be considered another must win. Yet for some reason, wasnt good enough last nite, against what appeared to be a terribly unprepared defense and a 14 point cushion? Was KC late for a meeting or something? Spare me every bit of either of them claiming Griff gives them the better option. To say that the Griff after that td pass to Paulsen is better than KC is a complete insult to KC. Again if Joe Webb or Jon Beck is our backup - oh well. That situation last nite was taylor made for showing why we drafted not one, but two qb's in the draft. Will never, ever understand why KC didnt get in.

re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Punch It In, you do have a point, but when Cap'n Kirk did go in, he went 4-11 (or was it 10?) and something like 30-odd yards. Can we PLEASE give the Number 1 defense in the league some credit here, too?
The Seahawks aren't the Browns. And I'm sorry, I have no problem with Shanahan giving the guy who carried the team to the playoffs the opportunity to try and work it out through the pain and find a way to win. I just don't. That said, screw the 'Hawks now. I like Wilson and can't even root for him any more because of how dirty those effers played last night. They have been upgraded to Cowpoke- and Iggles-level hate. Eff them. |

I already hated them because of the previous two playoff wins over us, plus last year's dirty game. Just add another log onto the fire.
I work with a Seattle fan too. ![]()

Saw that. Oh boy!! There's going to be some serious explanations that need addressing.

I wouldn't trust anything until someone credible like one of the local sports beat guy or Schefter/Mort/Clayton tweets about it.

A.d tore his whole knee and came back a year later, I seriously doubt griff is out that long.

Httr 24-7 is reporting he's out for 2013
He's been pretty reliable but let's hope he's wrong on this one
