These are the same guys that pushed for a 18 game season so I think it's quite evident that owners aren't genuine in their push for player safety.

If he *really* cared abut their safety he would pay them to sit on the sideline and forfeit every game.

Exactly. Like most things in life, it's a balancing act. Lots of teams play on natural grass, it just needs to be kept up better, which they have already said they intend to do.

Chicagos field is god awful. I remember one year they put new grass in half the field from the 35 to the other 35 yard line, and how many torn acls occured then? None that I can think of.
